About the Lab

Are you looking to expand your skills in cost control and improve how you perform cost management on your projects?

Join Elmer Sachteleben and Vanessa Sutterlüti on April 21st as they walk you through the best practices for cost control, including which indicators and reports to leverage for project progress and performance and how to use earned value management (EVM) to solve issues related to cost management and project controls. We’ll also cover a short demo on how to perform cost control on Cleopatra Enterprise, the project cost management software.

About the Instructors

Elmer Sachteleben is an experienced Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) holding an MSC in applied physics. After providing consultancy services to major companies, Elmer now leads Cost Engineering Academy.

He applies his broad experience and enthusiasm to provide traineeships, develop courses and organize workshops in the field of project controls and turnarounds. He is also a teacher at the Dutch Association of Cost Engineers (DACE) and a frequent speaker at industry events.

Elmer has provided consulting services in process assessment, development, and implementation to major multinational companies such as Shell, Unilever, Bayer, Cargill, CB&I, Mott MacDonald, Heineken, Vopak, Enbridge, Yara, and Rijkswaterstaat.

Vanessa Sutterlüti holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management and a Master’s degree in International Business and Management. After accumulating several years of international experience while studying and working abroad, Vanessa now works as a Sales Executive at Cost Engineering Consultancy serving companies in North America and Europe with the software solution Cleopatra Enterprise.

In this way, Vanessa helps major companies in industries like oil and gas, chemicals, energy, pharmaceutical, mining, and other process industries to improve their project control processes.
